Incorporated Company

Companies are registered entities that can trade like natural people with many liability and tax benefits over a sole trader.

Limited Liability:
A Company still provides effective personal asset protection.
Taxation:
Corporate tax rate currently at 30% with no Medicare Levies payable. Your accountant can show you how a company can be used to effectively run your business.
Contracting:
With recent developments on the Industrial Relations front, many organisations will only deal with Registered Companies which trade with A.C.N.'s (Australian Company Number) and A.B.N.'s (Australian Business Number)
Sole Trader:
Now, more than ever, individuals are trading as Companies because of beneficial tax rates and personal liability issues.
Partnership:
A Company is an efficient means of organising a group of individuals to trade as a sole structure.
Name Protection:
When a name is Incorporated it becomes registered throughout Australia and an identical name cannot be registered in any state as a Company or a Business Name. We also advise to register a Domain Name for Internet protection.
Name availability:
You may contact us for a free name availability search or check yourself by accessing the Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) web site: www.search.asic.gov.au
The provision of this service does not guarantee that a name found not to be identical to any protected name currently on the ASIC database will be a name acceptable to ASIC under the provisions of the Corporations Act and/or Corporations Regulations.
Ownership rights to a name are not established under the Corporations Act 2001 but may exist under common law or other legislation such as the Trade Marks Act 1995 (Cth). The Australian Securities & Investments Commission and Company Planners Pty.
